FAQs

Are you accepting new clients?

Yes! Once you request an appointment, you will be sent a link to your patient portal to complete the intake paperwork. Please complete these forms 48 hours before your appointment.

What will my first appointment look like?

Our first appointment together will be spent discussing your current nutrition and health related concerns, general eating patterns, and history with dieting. From there, we will dig deeper to understand what your personal goals are and set realistic expectations for what treatment will look like. You will receive individualized recommendations, education, strategies for planning, and more. We will end setting forth a plan for follow-up appointments.

Do you take insurance?

Yes! I am in-network with Aetna, First Choice Health, Premera Blue Cross, Regence, and United Healthcare. Most plans will cover your session with no out-of-pocket costs to you. Meeting with a Dietitian for medical nutrition therapy might be considered as part of your preventative health benefits so please check with your insurance plan.

Otherwise, nutrition counseling is usually covered as treatment for health conditions (ie Type II DM, eating disorders, etc), but again, please check with your provider for full details of your plans coverage.

Please check with your insurance plan if you require a physician referral.

What if I don’t have insurance or you don’t accept my plan?

Through the client portal, you can easily pay with a credit or debit card at time of service.
For the insurance companies I am out of network with, I will provide you a Superbill which is an official receipt of your medical nutrition therapy. You can submit this to your insurance company for reimbursement.

I have to last minute cancel my appointment, will there be a cancellation fee?

Unfortunately, yes. Unless for extreme circumstances, I require a 48-hour notice for cancelations. Otherwise you will be charged for the full cost of the appointment. I value your time as I respectfully ask you value mine.

You will be asked to provide your credit card at the time of booking to hold your appointment. Your card will not be charged unless you cancel within the 48-Hour window or no-show your scheduled appointment.

Anything else I should know about you?

I welcome those of the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. It is an important part of my practice that I work to provide you with a discriminatory free space, as well as one that fosters an understanding and respect of your background, culture, and identity and how that impacts your health.

Further, I provide sliding scale prices for those without insurance paying out of pocket for services, and will set up a payment plan as well. Please reach out if you have any questions.

If you feel I am not the right fit for you, I work with a large network of healthcare professionals I can provide you if you are looking for something different with your care.
